• Production on Me, Myself, and Irene starring Jim Carrey, began in Rhode Island and then moved to Burlington, Vermont, for 10 weeks of filming. Many local communities were used and residents were cast as extras.

• The Whole Nine Yards starring Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry was filmed and set in Montreal, Quebec.

• Stephen King's novel, Dreamcatcher, is a psychological drama concerning four boyhood pals who meet at a remote cabin in Vermont.
