Fall 2003 Saving Grace Lake Placid-based acoustic band delivers some satisfying jams.
Josh Cramoy, with brother Jeremiah, make some groovy tunes
When not making the local rounds on the live scene, Josh Cramoy, along with younger brother Jeremiah, have put together a full-length studio album. These Lake Placid natives deliver some cool tunes that you’d swear you’ve heard on the radio, and one day you just might. Saving Grace,The Josh Cramoy Band's second album, is a collection of 12 acoustic-rock songs. They admit to being greatly influenced by the likes of Billy Joel, Garth Brooks, Creed, and Matchbox Twenty and it shows. The CD opens on a playful note with “Come and Get Me”, with stop-and-go pacing that plays hard-to-get with the listener. On the ballad, “Our Song”, Josh coos with a sense of romantic longing, while brother Jeremiah accompanies on piano mixed with Zack Jakub's gentle alto flute sound. Notable tracks are the jazz-kissed rock tunes “Get Up” and “E minor Thing”. Infused with Jakub’s smooth saxophone, these songs definitely stand out from the pack. Don't be surprised if you see The Josh Cramoy Band peek into the Billboard charts one day. Saving Grace oozes untapped talent, and it's hopefully only a matter of time until the industry takes note.
