My experience at Koto was unique. The cuisine is traditional Japanese, and the menu ranges from chicken or beef based entrees to a wide variety of sushi and sashimi. The atmosphere also feels traditional. The pictures of Geishas on the walls and the bamboo chutes that divide the different sections of the restaurant made me feel as though I had actually ventured to Japan. I found myself thinking of the club scene in the first "Kill Bill" movie, minus the kung-fu fighting, of course. |

Drinking and dancing with good music in the great outdoors is one of the best activities in summer. In the North Country, Backwoods Pondfest - held at Twin Ponds Resort Campsite in Peru, New York, on September 7 and 8 - might have been the last chance to enjoy the opportunity before arrival of cold fall and winter months. |

Imagine sitting on the front steps of your porch with a soft breeze blowing by. The sun is setting just over the horizon, and you’re having that warm, fuzzy feeling inside that makes you feel right at home. The Kind Buds evoked that warm feeling during their performance at Plattsburgh State University College on September 7 at the World of Wings café. Despite the warm feeling the Bud's sound gave, the café was quite chilly. The restaurant did have dim lighting and spicy colored furniture that put a little fun in the scene. |

Karma #1, located off exit 40 of I-87, fails to initially capture the curious taste buds and send them into a flurry of excitement. This quaint Indian restaurant leads you down a beaten path adjacent to an old, rundown white motel with grounds cluttered with trash and miscellaneous personal belongings of its inhabitants. |
