At age three, Zach Bogosian had a goal. He didn’t know it yet, not really, not at an age when watching the Zamboni is far more important than knowing the final score of your youth league game. Yet even in those earliest moments, the Massena, N.Y., native believes he had his lifetime goal lined up, set squarely in his crosshairs like an unsuspecting opponent about to be checked into the boards. David Swanson calmly laid down the children's book he was reading, opened the door, and fell ten thousand feet. He smiled a rippling grin, and as his body careened towards the earth, he playfully somersaulted. After streaking through tufts of clouds, Swanson deployed his parachute and guided himself down like a hawk in descending spirals. Once upon a time, beat poets wandered around the United States searching their artistic heyday. Plattsburgh was the place to bring a big change for a musician Will Scheifley. “I was a young guy just 21 years old,” Scheifley says. He came to Plattsburgh to start his new life. It was his determination after he was getting into trouble with his life and was losing ambition. “I got a good (place) and I am playing music now” Scheifley says. |
