More Fans, More Noise, No Problem

Like many residents of Plattsburgh Jason Roberts is entertained and intrigued by the power local sports have over the community.

"It is a terrific source of entertainment and in all reality there will probably never be a professional team to ever play in Plattsburgh," Roberts said. "The closest you'll get is the Montreal Canadians up in Canada. So, to have some very competitive sports at the college and even the high school sports [level]...I think is very important to the community, as a fan."

Bolton Valley Night Skiing

Are you sick of all the crowds at ski areas, waiting to find a parking space and waiting in line to get on the lift? At times, it can ruin the experience of going skiing or snowboarding. Well, there is an alternative to avoid these crowds. Bolton Valley ski resort, located about a half hour south of Burlington, is a small resort with smaller crowds than places like Whiteface , Stowe or Jay Peak.

Crazy Kids and the Sleds They Build

Every February adults and children from throughout the North Country head to Dynamite Hill, a popular sledding spot for young and old alike, to participate in a custom sled competition.

Much preparation is needed to create an original sled that is capable of sliding down the entire hill. More than 15 homemade sleds took part of the sixth annual Krazy Downhill Derby in Chestertown, New York. Sleds ranged from Thomas the Tank engine to Sponge Bob Squarepants to Snoopy to the 4H Clover and Fire truck thirty-one.
